Do you need your birth time?

No. Your birth date and place are enough to start. An exact time adds your rising sign, Midheaven and houses, and you can add it later.

Three ways to enter it

In the app you choose exact, approximate or unknown. For an approximate time you also say how sure you are: within 15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or two hours.

What an exact time adds

Your Ascendant (rising sign), your Midheaven, all twelve houses and the aspects between your planets. Your daily messages can then use transits to the exact degrees in your chart.

What happens without one

We calculate every position across the whole window in which you could have been born. If the time is unknown, that window is the whole day. A planet's sign is used only if it stays the same across the window.

The Moon moves about 13° a day and changes sign every two to three days, so on some birthdays its sign is uncertain and we leave it out. We never guess a time, and we leave out the rising sign, houses, the aspects in your chart and close personal transits, because they all depend on exact degrees.

How to find your birth time

Look at your birth certificate first. In many countries the full copy of the certificate records the time. Hospital records, a baby book or a parent's memory can also help. When you find it, add it in the app and your chart is recalculated.

Questions
